cooperative extension service

The Cooperative Extension Service started the first Lincoln County Apple Festival in 1972. Cooperative Extension continues to serve as the coordinating agency for this event, working closely with festival’s board of directors. Extension is an informal educational organization based on a partnership among county, state, and federal governments.
