Apple Cobbler

2 (15 oz.) cans apples (not filling)

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

white or yellow cake mix (dry)

2 sticks butter

cinnamon (if desired)

Layer, in 13×9 pan, apples (sprinkled with cinnamon if desired), sugars and cake mix evenly. Top with pats of butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown and slightly bubbly.

Peaches and cherries work well also. If you use pie fillings, cut back to 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Cherries packed in water need more sugar, about 1 1/4 cups.
