Apple-Dapper Cake

2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1-1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 well-beaten eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
3 cups diced apples
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together with a spoon. Do not use mixer. Spoon the mixture into greased and floured Bundt pan or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Glaze
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
1 cup brown sugar

Mix together in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Beat with mixer until very thick. Spread over cool cake.
